Alice Gertrude Quarty

Died October 10th, 2000

My "Aunt" never married, but adopted my mother through my "Grandmother" Maude, and spent her life raising little Junie.  She was a grammer school teacher for most of her life, and having broken her engagement to a man Maude felt was beneath her spent her adult life alone and lonely but for the comfort of cats and charity work.

My father put her in an old age home after my mother died, and he remarried, and a year later, she too passed on.  She touched many lives.
